From September 2025 to April 2026, as part of the TEAM IV project, CESES and CEV have successfully completed the Belgian pilot phase of the online training course and mentoring programme aimed at promoting inclusive volunteering for people with disabilities.
The pilot involved 6 mentors and 5 mentees who tested the TEAM IV platform, training materials, and mentoring approach. Participants provided valuable feedback on the learning content, accessibility, mentoring process, and overall user experience. The pilot also offered important practical insights regarding participant engagement, mentor–mentee matching, and the implementation of inclusive mentoring activities.
Overall, feedback highlighted the relevance of the training content, particularly the practical mentoring guidance and inclusive volunteering approach. Participants also appreciated the opportunity to exchange experiences in a supportive and respectful environment.
The lessons learned during the Belgian pilot will contribute to improving the final version of the TEAM IV training platform and mentoring framework before the wider implementation phase involving 250 trained mentors across Europe.
The TEAM IV partnership would like to warmly thank all mentors and mentees who participated in the pilot and contributed to the development of a more inclusive volunteering environment for all.
